Meet The Boss

Hi I’m David, founder of Hotshot Fire Protection, a San Diego native. My 30-year firefighting career began with the US Forest Service in the Cleveland National Forest as an elite Hotshot firefighter for several years then transferred to the Dept of Defense as a civilian firefighter. Work duties always entailing Structural Protection, Aircraft Crash/Rescue, Submarine Firefighting, Medical Aid EMT, and Ambulance Transport. 

My avid backpacking experiences schooled me in weather and topography and added to my skillset. I’ve also had the unfortunate experience of going door to door and evacuating people/families from the incoming forest fire front. I feel with these life experiences and working knowledge, I can provide homeowners with valuable insight and safety to protect themselves, family and homes.
